• Extremely unreliable with Socks proxies.

  Can't really think of any...it's free.

  It claims Socks4 and Socks5 proxies to be 'good' when they are 'bad'. Claims many Socks proxies to be high anonymous when they are actually transparent (not anonymous). Only allows maximum of 100 proxies for testing. The proxy website lists provided are next to useless.

  Summary

  This program can prove to be a real timewaster if you want to find working Socks4 and Socks5 proxies that are 'High Anonomous'. They will appear in the list and then - if you are lucky (it often doesn't happen) - it will automatically proceed to check them. If it doesn't do this automatically you have to highlight them and select 'Check'. If you are luckier still, it may even give you two or three Socks proxies that it claims are working and are 'High Anonymous', but when you install them into your browser they either don't work or are not anonymous at all. Many of these even cause Internet Explorer to refuse to open, the only way of clearing it being to go into Google Chrome's proxy settings (they share same settings) and unticking that. I'm not surprised it's free, because if it was paid for they'd have to give everyone refunds. There must actually be a decent working proxyfinder out there...somewhere, because this ain't one.

  i'm sure it would work if i knew more about proxies and it doesn't say it's compatible with google chrome which i use

  after uninstalling i had to remove the proxy settings in the ie tools internet options lan settings proxy if you remove the checkmark your internet will work again without a system restore

• Didn't hide my IP

  Never got it to work.

  Cons

  Clicked the auto config, clicked on... IP address was still not hidden. After uninstalling program, my Windows Live Messenger was inaccessible. Followed there recommendation to reset proxy setting to no avail. Had to perform a sys. restore.

  Summary

  Don't know if I messed up or program didn't work for me. Probably the former. lol But I tried awhile to get it to hide my IP and it didn't.

• Beware of bifrose.gen trojan when executing proxyway

  None. Never got chance to try it.

  Cons

  My spyware detection software reported finding bifrose.gen trojan when starting up Proxyway after installation.

  Summary

  Somehow, this version of the .exe is infected by the bifrose.gen trojan. I immediately uninstalled and removed the software after seeing the warning message, so I did not get a chance to try out the capabilities of the tool. Please watch out for this trojan.

  Summary

  After installing it took me 2 minutes to figure out how to use it. Just click the auto config and when it finishes click on. If you want to change your proxy just click off then on again. Simply the best program out there at this time.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Feb 17, 2009<p/>I forgot to mention. This blows JAP out of the water as far as speeds go.
