Awake Translate is an app developed by the Department of Trauma & Orthopaedics at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
The app is designed to allow Anaesthetists and Surgeons to communicate with patients whose first language isnt English while the patient undergoes surgery with regional anaesthesia.
Our first module is Upper Limb Surgery with other modules to follow in the future.
Currently the app covers 8 languages: Romanian, Somali, Urdu, Tamil, Arabic, Polish, Farsi, & Hindi. Other languages may be added in future updates.
