iVMS-4500 is an app for remotely monitoring Hikvision DVRs and their attached cameras. Designed to allow you to log in to your security system from anywhere, iVMS-4500 lets you see what the security system sees, and control the cameras. iVMS-4500 is available from the publisher's Web site as well as other sources.
iVMS-4500 is designed to work with Hikvision products although it will communicate with other vendor's equipment, too. Using iVMS-4500 you can see up to four channels at a time of line video on your iPhone or iPad and use touch-screen control to move the cameras around. You can zoom in and out using standard gestures. The iVMS-4500 interface is friendly and easy to use, and there are some neat capabilities such as a landscape mode for monitoring. We ended up using that mode on an iPad propped up on our desk most of the time.
We tested iVMS-4500 with a local Hikvision system and could control up to 16 devices remotely (although only 4 can be seen at a time). The configuration and setup was easy, once we provided the credentials for the DVR. We happened to be on a trip while testing iVMS-4500, and logged in from 3,500 miles away and had excellent performance from the streaming video. If you use Hikvision security equipment, this is a lovely little app.
