From iInventory :iInventory (previously 'LANauditor') lets you quickly and easily capture and monitor hardware and software inventory. Automatically inventory your Windows, Mac, and Linux workstations and servers, both networked and standalone. Use iInventory to check software license compliance, to create and maintain accurate hardware inventory, or run pre-rollout OS/hardware/software analysis. Identify user file abuse (MP3, AVI etc.), provide system data to an IT help desk, and work with your inventory data in MS Access or SQL Server. Key enhancements of version 6.0: MS Access 2000 or SQL database option. New WMI based agent for Win32 systems.
Note: This freeware download holds a maximum of 10 computer audits. If more nodes are required, a fee per user is charged. This is a large file (15.4MB) which will take some time to download via modem.
