Power users have in eBay Desktop the full functionality of eBay.com focused into a stellar-looking desktop application built on Adobe AIR. The wealth of browsing, bidding, buying, and watching activities shines, as do item photos, seller statistics, automated shipping calculations, search, and personalized feeds. It seems the only thing that didn't make the transition from eBay.com is the clutter. If you get lost amidst the deep, but logically-appointed listings, the prominent Home button recenters you.
If pressed to find flaws, we'd concede that there's not a ton of visual customization on eBay Desktop, and point out that users must already have an eBay account in order to use the software. Aside from that, we recommend this handsome, well-featured app to frequent eBay users without reservations.

Haven't played around with it yet but it appears to be pretty comprehensive for buyers and lookers.
Cons
Great shame it doesn't support eBay sellers, so if you sell and buy, you still need to go back and forth between different applications.

Just a heads up if you use the Paypal/Ebay Code keychain to sign in to Ebay, you cannot use this it will not recognize it. Also is no way to include this.

You must first install Adobe AIR from the Adobe website or it will not install, see previous comment by willboss. No support for selling on ebay.

"Once I clicked Install the lights went out"

I was delighted to see find out this app existed as I am a huge eBay fan. I downloaded the app, clicked install and bang the lights went out. By this I mean my PC just shutdown instantaneously and restarted. On restart I was greeted with a message saying my computer recovered from a serious error! Foolishly I thought it was a one off occurrence and proceeded with another install and once I clicked the words 'Install', out the lights went again!
