Travelers inevitably have a thousand questions on the road, ranging from the weather report and currency conversions to something as simple as the local time. This free version of WorldMate puts much of this information at your fingertips. Separate modules offer a weather forecaster, world clock, currency calculator, and time zone map that tracks night and day around the globe. However, users must go pro to get the size and measurement converter, tax and tip calculators, and flight module covering more than 825 airlines and flight statuses that frequent travelers would find most useful. Globe-trotters can still get great value from the focused features, but they may find themselves turning to a Web browser for supplemental data.
