Pros: Not only does this make your computer safer, it stops a lot of blue screen madness that we all love to hate.
Cons: Security could have been upped a bit more, but it is far safer than XP2

"Worst idea to come out of Redmond, WA."
Pros: Service Pack 3 has NO redeeming qualities whatsoever, does far more damage than a virus might have
Cons: SP 3 destroyed or irrepairably damaged all the files on my computer, I've never picked up a virus that did as much damage as SP 3 inflicted. I had to do a destructive restore just to get my computer back up.
Summary: I had heard about the consequences of installing SP 3, some by word of mouth, some through the internet & some from Cnet reviews, but I had to see for myself. Fortunately, I chose to burn all of my files to disk before I downloaded this catastro... read more >>

"crashed my system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Pros: not at all!!!!!!
Cons: When i installed it. It was completed and told me to restart. I restarted and then i got the bluesrceen of death. I had to format and reinstall Xp sp2. I even lost my GenForce 2 Graphics card. 1000 rupees down the drain.
Summary: I hate it i lost my files. Important files,expensive graphics card. I blacklist this update
I have also a genuine widows key and CD. Ordered from US

"slows system I no longer use can't remove svc pack."
Pros: Nothing to like
Cons: xp upgrade problem. could have fixed with a reinstall of my xp, but since I installed svc pack 3 xp said a newer version installed would not let me reinstall. I had to low level format and do a clean install start fresh. svc pack 2 can be removed
Summary: If you are using xp home upgrade use service packs and antivirus / antimalware etc.
