Version: Sync2 for Outlook 1.40
"Greate peace of software. Real synchronization tool for Microsoft Outlook"
Pros: Easy and simple ActivSync like interface.
No addon in Outlook and if Sync2 is turn off you can still synchronize "changes" even Sync2 is not started for months.Fully independed from Outlook app.
Support for FTP and network folder.
Synchronization of read/unread of e-mail statuses.
Filters to synhronize only what you want (exclude personal ,categories, etc..)
Automatic scheduled and manual synchronization.
Simple conflict and duplicate items and conflick resolution
After you properly setup synchronization you will not notice this software att all.
Great for office LAN and via USB HDD sync for group of any syze or personal desktop-laptop Outlook sync.
Pear-to-peer shared folder support.
No server, data file sync.
Great app for every day use. Actually I can't see real competitor.
Cons: Complicated first setup wizard.
No "Share" only "synchronize"; same folders in to the same locations.
Created a lot of files on shared folder (sync itemsx3), this prevent from sync via free p2p networks (limitation 10'000 files)
Very slow on FTP via internet (first sync)
Complicated documentation.
Litle bit pricy 59.95 for 2 license and 39.95 for additional lic.;, but you get real app that save a lot of time.

Version: Sync2 for Outlook 1.40
Cons: The price is not $29.95 and you cannot use it on an "unlimited" number of PCs as stated in the short description on Downloads.com. It is $59.95 for personal use for only 2 PCs ($79.95 if its business use). There are additional licenses required for additional PCs.
Why is that anyway? Why do businesses get charged more than "personal use" installations? Does it cost the company more for the same product and same use? No. It is simply greed. I wonder how many businesses are using "personal use" software.
