"Works very well"
Version: SuperOneClick 1.8
Pros
Got the job done when nothing else did.
Cons
Had to try more than once to get it completed.
Summary
Would still recommend and continue to use.
-
"you don't know what your talking about."
Version: SuperOneClick 1.8
Pros
works fine
Cons
it's been packed as a rar file this is why winzip/windows won't open it so it will be a empty file.
Summary
the guy has no clue what he is talking about, the program is great just this un-educated person doesn't have a single clue how to extract a zipped/rar'd file.

"Useful package that doesn't work in one super click"
Version: SuperOneClick 1.8
Pros
Has everything you need to root your phone.
Cons
You need to be able to pick the package apart and take out the pieces you need to root your phone. Won't root your phone in one click as advertised... at least not on a Droid2 Global.
Summary
I was able to use the package but had to figure out how the different tools helped to root my phone so that I could root the phone "by hand".

"Immediately successful"
Version: SuperOneClick 1.8
Pros
SuperOneClick worked on my Flipside where Z4 failed
Cons
Had to get Hamster Free Zip Archiver because Win7 wouldn't recognize the archive

"WHY is Cnet promoting a SIX MONTH OLD VERSION?"
Version: SuperOneClick 1.8
Pros
Great idea but REALLY?
Cons
It's not that tuff to get the CURRENT version. Why is CNET behind the times?

"Awesome program!! Does whats expected!!!!"
Version: SuperOneClick 1.8
Pros
No problems and easy to use.
Cons
No cons for me!!

"Most Android users won't need anything more than this."
Version: SuperOneClick 1.8
Pros
Rooted my Droid Bionic perfectly with, as the name suggests, one click. Absolutely flawless plus, and this is one of my favorite features, the option to remove the root (though I don't know why I'd want to, but an "undo" option is always appreciated).
Cons
The only across-the-board con is that there's no help file or even a readme. I realize it's not really necessary because you pretty much just hook up the phone and click a button, but I'm a little old school in that I do appreciate something to refer to if I do have a question.
Otherwise, it's worth noting that it failed to root an older LG Optimus running Froyo that I keep as a tester device; then again, in all fairness, I didn't really expect it to work, since the phone already has a custom ROM for Cricket Wireless.Summary
Get it.
Ah, one important point to add: Use 7-Zip or some other WinZip alternative to unpack this file. For some reason, WinZip doesn't recognize this particular package. This is not true for other versions... I downloaded an earlier version just to check this and WinZip worked fine, but this package needs an alternate unpacker. Don't know why, but it doesn't really matter... alternative unpackers are free, readily available, and the program is well worth the few extra minutes it might take to download and install 7-Zip.
