This spyware scanner and removal tool does the job, but enabling some functions may cause slight slowdowns.

"An important addition to my anti-spyware toolkit!"
Pros: It is a set and forget program. It is especially effective in conjunction with CLAMAV activated during Full Scan. Signature updates are frequent.
Cons: I stopped using Hips Activation due to the amount of disruptive activity it created. There are a lot of threats this program misses, but it also catches some that others miss.
Summary: This is one of the first security tools I install on a new or refurbed system! (Along with a good firewall and anti-virus program). This one runs all the time. An excellent free security solution.

Pros: Blocks ads while still allowing you to view a site, tells you of harmful sites and why they are bad, small program only 5k kb to run, easy as pie to use, love the toolbar, FREE!
Cons: Absolutely none, I love it.
