This spyware scanner and removal tool does the job, but enabling some functions may cause slight slowdowns.

Real-time protection monitors key spyware types and Windows objects, though slight system slowdowns depend on your machine. Pros: The scan will eliminate most spyware & malware which other programs will miss.
Cons: Real time protection is a little hungry at start up.
Summary: A very good program which I think would is hard to beat.

"Has been greatly improved form previous versions."
Pros: Good at spyware removal. Doesn't hog as much memory in the background any more and hard to remember its still there. Occasional pop-ups remind you its working which is nice.
Cons: High memory usage when the application is open. Hopefully that will be reduced in the next version.
Summary: Crawler has done a great job with this release and fixed many things I didn't like such as resource hogging. It seems much lighter and quieter in the background then the last version. Only uses about 6-7 MB in the background not overly far off from ... read more >>

"ran my computer into the ground"
Pros: it seemed to work effectively although other than an assumption I saw no evidence of it while installed
Cons: My CPU resource monitor went from Ram Usage 53% to 84% after Spyware Terminator was installed it literally ran my computer into the ground it was unusable until I deactivated the software with an override
Summary: I would not recommend this product because of my experience through the software review it made my computer unusable by hogging system resources beyond what it was intended to use

Pros: It is not a major resource hog like most security software.

Pros: The program has different options than the free ones. however, as to those free we can be satisfied.
Dowunload is fast and database is often updated.Cons: nothing to tell in this field
