"Must read more carefully next time."

    April 14, 2014   |   By ComputerJanitor

    Version: Robolinux 7.1.10

    Pros

Demo looks nice on the website.

    Cons

Newer hardware which allows virtualization is need. Without it you can only do a dual boot config.

    Summary

Unless your computer was manufactured after 2006, you are probably SOL. Without virtualization you loose most of the advantages offered by Robolinux. I will install this in my XP old laptop for *****-n-grins, but I was hoping for a simple solution to our old software problems @ work.

"RoboLinux runs Windows OS's securely optimally stable."

    April 07, 2014   |   By dragondust76

    Version: Robolinux 7.4.1

    Pros

I wanted to still use Windows programs, and I installed Robolinux for that reason to be more secure.
I kind of feel like a pioneer, which I actually am. I have used a lot of distributions of Linux, and the seamless ease of Operating System incorporation through a virtual environment is amazing with this one.

    Cons

    No cons apparent.

    Summary

As a previous Windows user without VM support through Robolinux, I was not secure. I was not offered file protection against malware and viruses through Windows Operating Systems alone. In regards of a file system that remains secure against Windows targeted viruses and malware, this is how the Windows user's important files/documents are kept in tact and clean using a shared folder as part of Robolinux's EXT4 file system. I've been able to backup and reuse an installed Windows system through the Virtual environment Robolinux provides. Once the backup is made, Windows can be ran in a virtual environment like "brand new" every time it is loaded.

"Incredibly polished advance OS that runs Windows in it!"

    January 29, 2014   |   By INet-Guru

    Version: Robolinux 7.3.1

    Pros

    8 minute install
100% driver support. Video card Nvidia onc click!
100% Wifi driver support. Intel 2200 automatic
    Audio driver support. Automatic
So easy to use my 78 year old Dad uses it now.

    Cons

    None really.

    Summary

I don't mind paying for the VM Installers especially since it takes less than 20 seconds to install a Windows 7 virtual machine without thinking. I guess if I was an expert I could install the Virtual machine myself but I am certain only high level coders can write their special Windows VM virus immune protection code that they have. So well worth the $39.95 I spent.

"Fairly simple Linux distro for everyone"

    January 29, 2014   |   By PowerLIMIT

    Version: Robolinux 7.3.1

    Pros

-Quick painless install. I got this installed on both a craptop from 2002, and on a VM on my main desktop.
-Many applications available, at install. can Apt-get everything else i want.
-STEAM INSTALLED ON THIS DISTRO! lol... I could not, for the life of me, get steam working at 100% on Mint or Crunchbang... This was smooth like a straight debian box.
-Barryl already installed. Not really any more useful than regular switching desktops, but looks awesome =P

    Cons

-Not really an "advanced" distro. More so for the average "i don't want to use windows anymore" user.
-Customer support has a charge. Not really down for that. I don't think it's a con, i just don't pay for someone else's help in understanding their product. Build a wiki!!!
-There is no community. Linux lives and breaths off of it's users. There is no real reason to use this over Mint or Ubuntu, or vice versa.

    Summary

It's pretty solid, even on 1gig ram p4 laptop. I'd recommend it to my mother, no joke.

"Why are they allowed to claim it is FREE?"

    January 12, 2014   |   By ks2problema

    Version: Robolinux 7.1.15

    Pros

It is not FREE. It currently costs over 40 USD to buy the installers.

    Cons

Cons? It's a con. Not free.

    Summary

Why claim it's free when it's not?

"NOT FREE! $39.95 to buy the functionality! Misleading!"

    October 31, 2013   |   By Keith L. Young

    Version: Robolinux 7.1.12

    Pros

Awesome Idea if it wasn't a ripoff!

    Cons

The $4.99 windows VM installer is now $39.95. Rendering immediate loss of interest in this OS.

    Summary

This doesn't work worth a tinker's Damn in Parallels, Virtual Box, or VMWare Fusion. Tried a new install on a laptop. Not impressed!

    Version: Robolinux 7.1.8

    Pros

This is an extremely fast version of Linux... Great for Newbs, even better for more advanced types.

The integrated windows 7 environment is awesome!!!

    Cons

Yea.. you have to pay 4.99 for it when most of these open source linux distros are free.. but the time and effort they put into this distro makes it awesome! Their customer support is awesome.. TOP NOTCH!!

    Summary

    "Not free...."

    August 06, 2013   |   By ninja660

    Version: Robolinux 7.3

    Pros

The potential of what this promises is interesting.

    Cons

The web page if you visit the robolinux.org page as listed in the full information - they offer you RoboLinux installer at $4.99 - NOT FREE in my book!

    Summary

Lists as free? Umm your choice. If I read *FREE* I expect no shipping/handling/download/other fees. Going to pass on this one, if I want Linux, I will install it - not pay for it.
