Version: Rave CRM 1.5
"Not what the other 19 reviews suggest"
Pros: It installed without a problem.
Cons: First of all I strongly suspect that the 19 reviews were all done by the author or somebody who is a friend of the author of this product. Why?
1. It is VERY unusual for a program having been downloaded only 96 times to already have 19 excellent reviews. Have a look by searcing for CRM at download.com.
2. Most of the reviewers have only one review to their name.
Now the comments:
1. Too much to download. After downloading 22.5 MB and installing, the program still needed to download a further 37MB for SQL Server.
2. On installing the program it asked for a lot of personal information that it stores on the server.
3. On running the program, all drop-down lists are fixed, you have to accept what the program offers, no customization available.
4. To view activities of a contact, you have to scroll down if you want to view details, no easy click-and-view.
5. On clicking on Reports I received the message.."The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application."
6. Clicking on "Options"...The program has ONLY 3 options to set
7. Clicking on "Control Panel" I again received the message.."The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application."
8. It has no orders, quotes, invoices, email (except for a link to Outlook that I do not have) nor does it have any custom fields for contacts or lists that you can customize.
9. It is also totally lacking in details on even the basic data it supplies.
And you get all this for ONLY $400.
