Despite an iffy interface, Medved QuoteTracker's functionality impresses. During an easy installation, you choose a quote and index source that can be delayed, free with registration, or for customers of the source only. Once you've built a portfolio, you can right-click a ticker symbol and get information, such as historical charts and company announcements. If you've linked to your broker account, you even can make trades from within the program. It's not all good, though. The thin list of news sources is disappointing. The giant list of quote and index sources can be less than accurate; for example, The Motley Fool is listed as delayed, when it would be better classified as free after registration. We didn't find the banner ads bothersome, but some people might. Also, occasionally, the program will duck into the system tray for no identifiable reason. Day traders should find Medved QuoteTracker invaluable, especially at the price.Publisher's description

Features candlestick, OHLC, TICK, and Heikin-Ashi style charts, user-defined paintbars, and trend lines. It also has full integrated trading using direct access interface to major brokers. Order entry and transaction monitoring is drastically faster.
Version 3.9.1 adds the ability to have multiple symbols on a chart, support for Trade-Ideas Automated Trading robot, and increases max number of days on intraday charts to 20 for TD AMERITRADE clients.
