From Traysoft :

PhoneTray is an easy-to-use free Caller ID software. It shows and speaks the callers name and number before you answer the phone. PhoneTray logs all your incoming calls and can reject any unwanted call by answering and playing selected message. PhoneTray can automatically zap telemarketers with a special disconnected tone. It can play Federal do-not-call warning forcing telemarketers to remove you from their calling lists.

Version 1.33 adds keyboard shortcuts to switch between PhoneTray screens, speech speed to Announcer settings, and improves Fix CID function.

What's new in this version:

This is a small bugfix for version 1.32. Please do not update the description.

Version: PhoneTray 1.33

"Blocks telemarketers"

Pros: Greatly reduced the amount of telemarketing calls received.

Cons: Would like the ability to set a default configuration for call blocking ("Privacy Manager") instead of starting from scratch for each phone number added.

Summary: With the right modem, Phonetray shows each call on your monitor, in very large text if you wish, and blocks those you opt not to receive. Caller ID service is required from your phone company. Even with the Do Not Call list, this software is still n... read more >>
