"Don't download it!"
Version: Partition Table Doctor 3.5
Pros
None at all
Cons
everything
Summary
After starting the program it said that amount of sectors on my hdd is bad and suggested to repair it, so i clicked OK. After that i could't boot, and had to use Windows Repair Disc to recover my computer to normal state. So don't even bother downloading, this is malware.

"Won't load and tech support stumped"
Version: Partition Table Doctor 3.5
Pros
Nothing, because cannot get to run in XP SP3.
Cons
Cannot run it and tech support has no solution.
Summary
Used the prior version of the program and it was great. Upgraded, and no joy. Tech support basically said this happens sometimes but no answers as to why. Ran on my wife's XP SP3 machine, so obviously some program incompatibility.

"I can't believe how well it works!!"
Version: Partition Table Doctor 3.5
Pros
Its cheap. It definitely works! Its easy to use. There is a version that can run from a live cd. Its a windows application.
Cons
poor english translations in program prompts and menus but they are understandable. Not the most elegant user interface. Its a windows application.
Summary
Its cheap and it works. Its now a permanent part of my tool kit.
After trying all of Microsoft's XP recovery console (fixboot, fixmbr, etc.), gparted, ranish, etc.... This was the only application that found the partition table problem with my raid0 array - it had an invalid partition type code. PTD recognized it and prompted me to fix it as soon as the program was launched. I subsequently used it to rebuild the partition table on the raid0 array after I accidentally deleted it with ranish partition manager (never watch the kids while you are playing with disk partitions). -
"Who knows what this will do?"
Version: Partition Table Doctor 3.5
Pros
I needed a utility that would rebuild partition tables and perhaps fix other file system errors. So, I downloaded the demo version of PTD. It appears to have all that I need, especially the ability to use an *.iso image to burn a bootable CD.
Cons
The demo version is absolutely worthless. The documentation is very poor, most likely a testament to the lack of English Language skills held by the developers. There is absolutely no way to judge what this program will accomplish.
Summary
I do not recommend this product. Stick with the proven winners like Ontrack
So, forget about downloading the demo. As for reviews, I could not find a single review that could persuade me to purchase this software for $ 50.00 US.
That is why I wrote this review... To save you a lot of headaches.
