  Version: POS MAID 2.25

  "Visually impressive but ultimately not customisable enough."

  Pros: When you first download and test the program it seems simple to use and initially pleasing to the eye. The initial setup is simple and allows regional changes to allow for your desired currency symbol. Digging a bit deeper the program does allow you to upload your inventory using a simple excel spreadsheet which is a great time saving feature missing from many similar programmes. There is also an example sheet for you to follow meaning you can successfully upload your products first time.

  It should also be pointed out that there are many functions within this program that as a package make it very attractive including: Employee time cards including a simple clocking in/out function. An accounting tab also offers options of monitoring bank accounts and doing some basic accounting such as bank transfers etc.

  Cons: Going much further than the initial setup becomes increasingly difficult as to gain the maximum benefit from the programme, a time intensive setup of "quick link" buttons to products would be advised. This as the name suggests is to offer quick access to products but also because the alternative method of selecting a product for a sale is cumbersome. I also found that the quick link buttons to specific products were too small to write anything meaningfull into and also, although visualy impressive, the pictures that you can insert are also too small to be usefull.

  All of the above would not matter however if not for the Invoicing. If you are willing to spend some time setting everything up on this programme then i'm sure it could be very rewarding. BUT! Then you discover that the quality of the ivoices produced are extremely poor and display very little information. Not only is the quality very poor but you can not customise fields in any way whatsoever meaning that you are stuck with an invoice that no company in their right mind would use, let alone give to a customer. Ultimately very disapointing for a program that initially seemed to offer so much.
