CNET Editors' review
PIMShell is a feed reader that you can use to post and track the comments you leave on Web pages and your favorite blogs. It has gadgets that can be used in the sidebar of Windows operating systems, so you can have ready access at your fingertips.
The interface of this feed reader is fairly utilitarian, but it's well organized. You can customize the interface and easily add radio stations of your choice to the list. You can also add pages and note your favorites. The default display has a built-in media player that will tune in to the BBC World Service. The program will store all of the articles in your feed into one data file, which you can save and password protect. The portability of the feed file and the capability to use the reader in your Windows sidebar are two of this program's especially handy benefits. There isn't a built in Help file; however, a blog and forum that you can access from the manufacturer's Web site might answer some of your questions, should you have any. The blog also has information about Web sites that PIMShell supports and other useful development news.
PIMShell is free. It installs and uninstalls with no problems. If you frequent online blogs and forums and like to leave comments, PIMShell will help you keep track of your remarks. It's somewhat basic as feed readers go, but if need a simple reader, PIMShell is for you. You'll enjoy using it.
