This program is a reliable choice for people who work often with PDF documents. PDF-XChange Pro operates without the assistance of Adobe software but doesn't suffer for it; the program alone contains all the necessary functions for producing, editing, and printing PDF documents. For instance, this application lets you perform such actions as converting MS Office documents to PDF; extracting certain pages or images from a PDF; cropping; and joining several files. You also can designate a PDF folder, which the program will monitor; PDF-XChange Pro will convert any document placed within it to PDF. The ability to create bookmarks or watermarks for documents also is a useful feature. Compact and stable, this program worked well on all our test systems. Overall, this is a quality program for various PDF-related chores.Publisher's description

"pdf xchange pro is the best thing since sliced bread"
Pros: Version 3 and Viewer version 1 were great. Version 4 and Viewer Version 2 are even better. I don't know why anyone would use Adobe's viewer any more, given that PDF X-change Browser is also free.
The Pro version of the browser lets you add/delete pages from your pdf file, mark them up with text or 'stamps' (which can be made from graphics files, like signature files), and a dozen other useful features.
I use the 'tools' part for overlaying printouts on exiting pdf forms and previewing the results prior to printing on paper. SO useful and saves me time and wasted paper/ink every day.
In short, it does just about everything you could think of doing with PDF files. Try the free version and then see how long you can live without paying for the 'Pro' features.
Cons: Almost unheard of, but I have no suggestions for improvement. (Except that I had to type the serial number into the viewer to use the Pro features -- it didn't figure out that I already had the Pro version by itself).

Cons: The trial version leave HUGE watermarks on the test documents, and if that wasn't enough another corporate logo is put in the middle of the document rendering it useless.
