Version: PDF Converter Professional 4
"When I reinstalled, they refused to activate my software"
Pros: It does its job
Cons: I reformatted my HD, added a new DVD drive, and reinstalled all my software. All, that is, except PDF converter. It says I had installed it on too many machines, please buy another license.
Not "Sorry, theres a problem..please contact customer support"..a blunt message, that politely calls me a pirate and tells me to send them more money.
This is arrogance at it's worst!

Version: PDF Converter Professional 4
Cons: The download link to a file named "3". It is not the program. (I give a star as it is the least requirement.)

"Better than I expected for conversions"
Pros: I have to admit I am quite skeptical about doing conversions from PDF into anything else. It almost always dissapoints me EXCEPT in this case. I came to learn that this PDF converter is powered by some pretty heavy technology from Scansoft (bought by Nuance). It seriously gets the job done. I cannot believe the power for the price and it's not overloaded by a bunch of useless features.
Cons: I'm not happy about the activation requirement. I understand it, but I'm not happy about it.

Version: PDF Converter Professional 4
Pros: I desperately needed to convert a PDF for a project so I downloaded this software to give it a try. I never thought to convert PDF files before and thought I would use it just one time and be done. Guess what? This software is so fantastic I had to buy a copy. I can't believe how many files it has opened up for me. I was totally surprised that it will convert stuff scanned as PDF. I didn't even think of that but I tried it and it worked. It doesn't scan something itself but if you have the files on disk it works great! My co-worker had Adobe Acrobat which she loved but it doesn't covert stuff well at all. Once she saw what I was doing she got a copy too. You won't be dissapointed.
Cons: It doesn't scan directly. You have to scan using another program but I use PaperPort which I love anyway.
