Noguska's NolaPro Free Accounting is actually a powerful freeware business suite that uses the Apache and cloud-based tools. It runs securely online from your home or work PC or any server or workstation. It not only handles business accounting but also payrolls, order tracking, inventories, point-of-sales, business-to-business, and other important functions, and it includes not only a full database but also a time clock, hosting manager, development API, and online shopping cart. It can handle all kinds of taxes, including VAT, and it integrates with many third-party applications, add-ons, and plug-ins. It can be widely customized to suit virtually any business or industry requirement.
NolaPro is a substantial download, with a self-extracting installer that scanned our system to verify that we had all the required PHP extensions and configuration settings, including MySQL. The Web-based setup wizard requires Internet Explorer, too. We accepted the MySQL defaults, and the installer set up and configured our database, explaining the various options and requirements at each point. We were required to enter company, sales tax, and checking account info to set up the database, though of course we could edit it later. We logged in to the main page, which offered a toolbar accessing online tools for Orders, Billing, Inventory, Payables, Payroll, Ledger, and Admin, and a main field filled with all kinds of help, support, add-ons, and even premium secure hosting options. The program offers digital and print manuals, text-based help, page-specific help, a video training library, and a PDF-based quick-start guide, which we opened.
NolaPro's tools open left-hand control consoles and use familiar Web-based entry fields and large, clearly labeled buttons and icons to handle a huge amount of business-related functions. Under Admin, the Admin Setup button gave us access to everything from B2B Site Graphics to Home Page Caching, OSC Commerce Integration, and User Rights Groups. It's a lot, especially for freeware, and we agree with Noguska's advisory: You really do need to try it to see what it is and how it works. But anyone looking for a comprehensive business software solution that offers secure cloud-based access from just about anywhere needs to check it out.

It's great that I have it installed on my office computer but can access from a client's site or at home. Easy to use invoicing and reports.

Literally you can do your accounting for free with this. Pleased that it doesn't expire. Seems rock solid.

Takes some actual common sense to get up and running. Might be a slight adjustment for people used to quickbooks kindergarten accounting.
Summary
Well put together program, and allows you to upgrade very easily and cheaply to advanced features (inventory, payroll and such). We are using this at 2 of our offices and aiming for a 3rd. Still can't believe its really free.

I was surprised at the support this software has for my region. Most U.S. based software is lacking. Editing terms, symbols and currency are all there.
Cons
There are a couple minor differences in how we do things but was able to find a way to implement them as-is.

Great for international users and has with inexpensive extras available.

I tried this a couple years back but our company decided to stick with their current software. Recently changed jobs and this is what they are using. Give it a try!
