Version: Nitro PDF Professional 4.9
Pros: Cheap, compared to Adobe Acrobat Professional, so do the features are nearly the same.
Cons: The activation system of the product looks easy, but if you have a personal firewall things will gets complicated, make sure to disable the firewall before the activation process.
The support team are to fast enough to answer your problem unless you pay for rapid support.

Version: Nitro PDF Professional 4.9
Pros: Really quick, and had all the crucial PDF features at a reasonably budget-friendly price. I create a lot of PDF docs, and making sure that they can't be changed is very important. The security features and especially the ones that disallow changing and printing of documents were really useful. I've also started using the product to send PDF files containing secure file attachments to protect files, movies or whatever that I don't want everyone to see.
Cons: I didn't have any trouble removing the buttons in word that some others have mentioned, but then, I didn't uninstall the product. I think I read about this being an issue with Office rather than Nitro anyway.

Version: Nitro PDF Professional 4.9
"Better functionality than Acrobat + more clear menus at a fifth of the price."
Pros: I was looking for a cheaper (but not less powerful alternative to Acrobat Professional, as I think Adobe's products are grossly overpriced. Have come across Nitro PDF Professional, gave it a test drive and purchased 3 copies after a short trial. I must say I am truly impressed by Nitro PDF's combination of clear interface, very logically placed icons/menu items
and an impressive list of features. I think it deserves a name of at least a serious Acrobat competitor (at least from the end customers point of view). Nitro allows for much more versatile graphics manipulation, has a very flexible set of templates for creating pdfs, stamps, ready-to-insert graphics, watermarks and many many more. Give it a go and you will like it.
Cons: Polish diactics supported only when copy+paste from MS Word, seems to create a bit larger pdfs than Acrobat.

"Great, inexpensive alternative to Acrobat"
Pros: I finally found a feature-rich alternative to Acrobat! While not as pretty (the UI could use a makeover), Nitro PDF has a large pallet of tools for the individual or business user who needs to create more than just a pdf document. Nitro also beats out the other third-party pdf creation apps with its features and price.
Cons: The user interface, while functional, deserves a makeover. I've had a few weird happenings in Word after installing Nitro (Nitro adds a menu and toolbar item to Word), but it appears to be a one-time hiccup.
