From Bay Place Software :MARS (Membership and Activity Records System) is a complete membership, contact, and activity database for non-profit organizations. MARS keeps track of mailing lists, contact and organizational interests, events and classes, organizations and their staff members, family members, volunteer hours, communications, fundraising activities, administrative tasks, payments of all kinds, and of course member renewals and other membership activity.
You can find information in literally thousands of different ways, and then produce reports, emails, mailing lists, labels, form letters, and all kinds of renewal materials. MARS was specifically designed to be easy to use. MARS has just one screen, five tabs, and zero menus. Full-time and part-time staff as well as volunteers can use MARS effectively and productively. Version 3.17 now runs on Windows Vista as well as Windows XP.

"GREAT contact manager / database manager"
Pros: Can change prenamed fields to suit your purposes
Robust software much like fully functioning expensive alternatives
Unbelievable that single computer license is FREE
Multiple databases supported
Security of records even allowing other's log in accessCons: It would be nice to change the date of a note to a prior day, but it automatically selects today's date as the only choice.
Summary: It has an unlimited amount of possibilities. You can track membership organizations, leads/sales type databases and contact management. You can label things differently in the setup panel than they are already originally filled in as so it's truly... read more >>
