While this freeware program may not come with many tricks, it extracts icons reliably and efficiently. Icon Sucker uses a basic Explorer window to display file folders and their contents. A folder tree allows you to quickly move between folders when looking for files. Once a folder has been selected, the program in another frame displays all the icons (executable or otherwise in the folder. The process of extracting is straightforward. A right-click on the icon will give you the option to save in ICO or BMP format. Though this icon extraction program could benefit from more advanced features, such as batch extraction, it performs its primary duties without error. Users who have smaller jobs to do and are looking to save some cash will probably find this compact program worth a look.Publisher's description
From Copsey Strain :Icon Sucker is a utility that allows you to extract, or suck, icons out of the files on your hard drive. Icon Sucker can extract icons from both 16-bit and 32-bit applications and libraries, including the following types: ICO, ICL, DLL, EXE, OCX, CPL, BPL, SCR, VBX, and DRV. Icon Sucker uses a Windows Explorer-style user interface to find files to extract icons from. You can then copy icons to the Clipboard and save them to a file.

"No scan / search . Checks only one file at a time ."
Pros: Good GUI .
Cons: Unless you know what you're looking for and where it is this will be of no use ( unless you're happy to check every file on your pc individually ) .

Version: Icon Sucker 2.0
"Crashed on first run and all other attempts. Total junk!"
Pros: Nothing, because it won't even run!
Cons: The software installs fine but, it crashes upon running every time. It was a complete waste of time. Can we start giving software that does not even run a 0 star rating please!!! Come on!
