Whether you're illustrating a software manual or documenting a computer problem, taking an exact picture of what's on the PC screen can often be useful. HandySnap is a compact and easy-to-use tool for producing these screenshots, with the ability to capture the entire screen, the active window, or any rectangular area. Unfortunately, it lacks the ability to capture menus or window objects such as buttons or toolbars. The software excels on the editing front, allowing users to add text, draw arrows, or overlay a handful of slick-looking characters on the screenshot images. It lacks features that would help manage large numbers of screen captures, however. In our estimation, professional designers may want a more powerful tool, but almost any other user is likely to find this an attractive option when screenshots are necessary.
