GP Desk differs from other electronic medical records by: 1) Allowing the rapid entry of patient visit data using a "point and click" system. 2) Adding real-time decision support so that you have access to relevant information at the right time. Decision support examples include: Child development indicators relevant to the patient's age; Point and click selection of problems, symptoms, and signs with the display of a clinical approach and list of possible diagnoses; Point and click selection of fractures based on the AO/ASIF system; Cardiac risk calculation; Suggested diagnosis, tests, and treatment; Electronic prescription writer that checks for allergies and interactions.
Version 2.1 adds templates for rapid data entry, ICD 9 diagnosis codes, and multiple page patient pictures/documents.
