FileCenter requires no additional hardware or expensive training and consulting, it works with most scanners on the market and includes OCR software. FileCenter automates the scan process, providing automated routing and saving features. Also included is a fully functional PDF converter, full text search engine, and file sharing technology that allows you to auto sync files between multiple computers. Additional features include integrated FileBackup and version control features for a fully featured paperless office and document management suite.
Version 2.0.4.2222 adds PaperMaster conversion utility, Google Desktop search integration, file preview window, thumbnail viewer, OCR text window. Also, it works with PaperPort, OmniPage, and Microsoft Office Document Imaging.

"Wonderful document manager (its not $299 - its $69)"
Pros: It has a nice interface - with cabinets, drawers, folders, and files - works with the save command of most programs, previews common files so you don't have to open them, and they have a wonderful support staff.
Cons: None - I love it...I seldom use explorer now.

"Much Improved (Even though I liked the first)"
Pros: If you are using FileCenter for scanning, this new version has fantastic new features the let me automate scanning and it is all full text searchable. myfilecenter on the web is where you can find out more. They even have free tutorials.
Cons: My scanner is not fast enough. I like the software so much that I wish to have a faster scanner so I can rip through my paper.
