Version: Effective Meetings 1.4
"Provides excellent structure and organization for meetings"
Pros: A very professionally presented software application which provides many benefits when attempting to create a structured approach to meetings.
Using the intuitive step-by-step interface, the software makes setting up a clearly thought out meeting agenda an easy and painless process. Recording minutes and follow-up tasks after the meeting is also a neat feature.
Special mention must go to the documentation produced by the software (in either PDF or RTF format) The results look very professional, an important factor when passing on meeting agendas and minutes/tasks lists to colleagues and corporate partners in attendance at the meetings.
Overall, a simple tool that has made a big impact on our business.

Version: Effective Meetings 1.4
"Good face value, But very weak and limiting in back end"
Pros: Allows organization of single meeting, with clear steps. Good use of minute feature, to add meeting info into agenda. Good structure of pdf form.
Cons: Info input for single meeting not available for other meetings (ie. you have to recreate the wheel for each meeting, and there is no status report feature to keep track of ongoing projects.)
Definitely not a program for an organization or small business with standing meetings.
Only real benefit to single meeting agendas, with no need to track action item status.
The trial version, is only useful if you have less than 3 items to discuss at a meeting, and a limited number of people attending.
I could not truly test the software with these restrictions, so I went ahead and purchased it. After using it for several meetings, and identifying the major flaws in the software and support, I attempted to return it.
Tech support, although quick to respond, did not offer any solutions to these problems and refused to address the issue.
Tech support refused, saying that "I appreciate your response but I do not see that the software's only limitation, restricting you to three meeting items, would've prevented you from determining whether or not the software fulfilled your requirements, specifically, the lack of a status report function that
compiles multiple meeting tasks into one area."
So in other words, too bad.
Unless you have very short term meeting needs, with no need to track action items, I would recommend staying away from this software.
