Publisher's description
From KarenWare.com :No more fumbling with My Computer or Windows Explorer, wishing you could print information about all your files. Karen's Directory Printer can print the name of every file on a drive, along with the file's size, date and time of last modification, and attributes (Read-Only, Hidden, System and Archive)! And now, the list of files can be sorted by name, size, date created, date last modified, or date of last access.
What's new in this version:
- Fixed odd bug that prevented you from selecting a sub-folder of a folder found inside one of the "Special Folders" such as My Desktop.

Pros: 1) Simple to use, with a convenient context menu tha you can select from Word, Windows Ezplorer, etc.
2) Flexible with many options to choose from
3) Can print to file so you can save the list as a text file
4) FREE!Cons: None that I've found so far
Summary: In my old WordPerfect, it was possible to print a list of files in any particular folder but when I switched to WORD, this functionality was lost -- and so was I. In fact, I kept WP on my computer just so I could do this one thing! This little app ... read more >>

Version: Directory Printer 5.3.1
Pros: It serves my purpose - printing directories. There are quite a few options for what details to show, ordering, etc. My needs are basic, so I find it more than adequate. And it's even maintained.
Cons: Interface is a bit awkward, and you have to try out some options to understand what they do, but that's not awful.

Pros: I wanted to produce a list of films which are stored in their own folder which is in a genre folder. This it did with very little effort. Interface is ok.
Cons: The format of the output means that you'll still have some work to do to get a neat list.
Summary: First go I included the folder names - this was a mistake. The program uses a sort of pseudo xml to wrap files in their containing folders. A quick adjust of the options & I printed the list of just the filenames sorted by filename. Unfortunatel... read more >>
