This software version | All versions -
Version: CompanionLink 3
Pros: Low Cost for what it promises
Cons: Made duplicates of every appointment regardless of settings. A new version is posted every week ior so, so make sure you upgrade before trying support. Support is tough to reach - wait by the phone for a call back, or you will never get any help.
Summary: Horrible - don't do it. No no no no no.

Version: CompanionLink 3
"Excellent product, excellent support, excellent value"
Pros: I've been using Companionlink for years. It is the most full featured sync software available and is constantly being updated. The only limitations are those of the platforms it supports.
Cons: Interface could be a bit more intuitive
-
Version: CompanionLink 3
"Maybe the software works, support is rude"
Pros: It's the only thing I could find to sync Outllok BCM cotnacts with a Blackberry
Cons: After a month of trying and purchasing multiple copies for our company, we still can't get it to wirelessly update the BBs with changes to the BCM contacts. Tech support is invariably rude, tries to get you off the phone as fast as possible.
Summary: I'll keep on trying. Tech Support could seemingly not care less whether you can actually use the product. Initial set up is not straight forward and, again, the techs think you're a moron if you ask for help.

Version: CompanionLink 3
"Well worth $0.49. Pity it's $49."
Pros: It almost works, some of the time.
Cons: Forget sync'ing changes, but full delete & reload usually gets you there. Painfully, awfully slow. Absolutely no attempt at status/progress information during the transfer or any kind of log/summary of what it did. Infantile piece of software.
Summary: This would be my 2nd favorite ACT to BB sync product, absolutely anything else that worked would be my 1st choice. But there isn't anything else thanks to Nokia buying the only other one and cutting BB support.

Version: CompanionLink 3
"If it worked and had support, it might be OK."
Pros: Good idea, weak product.
Cons: We call it "WeakLink" instead of CompanionLink. When they tried to extend the key, they couldn't. Tech support is non-existent unless you pay $100. Manuals and comparison chart is irrelevant. Also, the owner .. Waylon, is a Christian, so be prepared.
Summary: The software is not intuitive for the average user. I had to buy other software and a Blackberry to test, but by that time, the license was near timing out, no time to test. When they said they would extend it, they couldn't and didn't really care. ... read more >>
