ChrisPC Free YouTube Downloader Converter is a powerful software with a friendly user interface that allows you to download videos and playlists from YouTube, videos from Dailymotion, Vimeo, Veoh, MyVideo.de, Flickr, Metacafe, Blip.tv, LiveLeak, Break, Trilulilu.ro, 220.ro, Tare.ro, Adult sites and many more video websites. Once the videos are downloaded, you can convert them to formats compatible with iPad, iPhone, iPod, MPEG-4 H.264, MP3, AC3. The software lets you select the video download quality for each YouTube video or for all at once. You can choose between: MP4 H.264, WebM Vp8, FLV H.264, 3GP video formats and 1080p HD, 720p HD, 480p, 360p, 270p, 240p, 144p video qualities. If you want to put your videos on your iPad or convert the videoclip to a high-quality MP3 file for your MP3 player or other video formats, you just have to enable the "Convert YouTube downloaded videos to" and select the format you want your YouTube video to be converted. Some of the conversion formats are available only with the Add-on Package. ChrisPC Free YouTube Downloader Converter knows how to handle most of the playlists of YouTube. You can add a playlist link to the download list like a normal individual video link. To load playlist with more than 15 videos you will need to activate the Add-on Package for ChrisPC YouTube.

"The best free video downloader!"

Pros
I'm using it for almost two weeks and it works as advertised. Downloading Youtube playlists is very easy and I like the conversion to MP3. I tried also downloading videos from Dailymotion and Vimeo, worked very well indeed, you can choose the quality you want to be downloaded for each video!

None at the moment

Hope they can improve in the future the conversion speed for H264 profiles.

No pros because the software does not work.

First thing i did after installing was paste in a youtube URL and it immediately gave me error message "Read Timed Out". And that was it. Nothing, no more progress, zero!!
There is no help on the software or the developers website so basically there is no way of knowing how to operate it. In summary this software is pretty much a waste of harddisk space and your time. I am just hoping it has not installed some nasty malware or virus to boot!
Not to mention the unusually complex installation process.
Do not waste your time downloading unless you want to add to the negative comments for the sake of other potential downloaders. -

Summary
I really like this soft because my kid can watch now anywhere his preferred cartoons on the iPad. Also I can listen on my iPod my favorite songs while being offline.
It has a nice and simple interface, easy to use.
You only have to add the video from youtube and then click process all button and your done!
