CI Search lets you deploy your own internal search engine on your network. It installs on any Windows 2000 SP4 server or higher. You then configure that server to reach out and index as many of the shares on your network as you like. Your users can than go to a URL, (http://YouServer/CIsearch) and search your entire network in seconds, even if you have a million plus files.There are two different search pages, a simple and advanced. Search criteria includes 1) document contents 2) filename 3) file type 4) modified date 5) size 6) author and 7) location (through the deffinition of search start points).Almost all known filetypes are supported including pdf's and users are given infomation about each result which includes an extract from each file (first 320 charactors).The evaluation allows you to see the technology at work with a couple of restrictions.Full documentation is provided including a guide for your end users on how to get the best out of CI Search.
