Have you ever been bidding on that hard-to-find, absolutely-perfect-for-that-special-person birthday gift, only to have some sniper zip in with two seconds left and steal it from you? All those hours you spent monitoring your bids and your budget, gone for naught.

If that situation is a recurrent nightmare for you, Auction Sentry might be what you need. It manages your eBay bids, showing the item number, name, price, high bids, and time remaining, in a familiar spreadsheet layout with control buttons on top. The simple interface lets you quickly access and monitor numerous auctions, and track your profits--or losses. Audio and visual signals alert you to new bids or auction closure, and the customizable sniping feature combined with clock synchronization ensures that you'll never lose an item to AuntMillie142 again.

In future versions, we'd like to be able to arrange bids by category and see a search feature integrated with eBay's own engine, but there aren't any major drawbacks here. You really only need Auction Sentry if you're an eBay junkie, but these days, who isn't?

Whether a buyer or a seller, Auction Sentry streamlines and automates tracking and bidding on eBay auctions. It automates bidding placing your bid as close to the end of the auction as possible (sniping). The intuitive interface displays your auctions in a color-coded grid, indicating which auctions you are winning, which you have been out-bid on, and which you have set up a snipe bid for. Also alerts you when an auction receives a bid.
