Simple to use but what's the point... it spits out half gibberish when given a perfectly clear and legible text.
Cons
Some text comes out while other is turned to gibberish and symbols.
You have to click through your document one page at a time and wait while the OCR output is done for that page.
Probably more, this was enough for me... uninstalled it.Summary
I saw a pretty simple interface so that seemed like a good start. Simple to use too once I hit the help button to see online instructions. Loaded the doc, hit the OCR button and waited for magic... no hum of any work being done and only the first page was on screen -- a title and doc number only on this page and the doc number was turned into strange symbols while a very clear "r" was turned into a 7. -- It was then that I realized that I would have to go through this 1180 page document, letting it read one page at a time. I made it to page 18. Not even close enough to accurate to bother. It might do a decent job on smaller projects where you can find and fix the errors but for my purpose it's just plain trash. "Junk does not OCR image"

Well it installed without appearing to install any other junky software.
Cons
It simply did not work at all. I had an image I wanted to convert to text, it opened the image, I clikced OCR and total gibberish appeared in the other side where the text was supposed to be.
Summary
Don't bother to download this. Machine was Win 7 SP1, all I tried was OCR of a bmp.

Summary
This didn't work for me when I tried to convert images to text. I tried .jpg, .png, .tif and none worked. Maybe this works for PDFs - I don't know.
