This release adds the ability to play back embedded multimedia files in MP3, QuickTime, Macromedia Flash, Real, and Windows Media formats, as well as to submit Adobe PDF forms. It also replaces some of the icons in the default interface with optional, dockable toolbars. "Serious Crashes"

Easy to install and easy to uninstall. No hidden adware.

When I opened a .pdf file on my Windows XPSP3 computer, Adobe Reader reported that there was an error occured and needs to close and my computer crashed seriously. I had to use the power on/off button and later my "check disc for errors" program reported that a system error was restored.
Summary
Above events were reason enough to uninstall Adobe Reader and to search for a replacement. I am thinking about Foxit Reader, but it has adware in it. Besides I suspect Adobe Reader from causing an error in the Internet Explorer 8, where IE8 also reported that an error has occured and needs to close. For this error I had to use Microsoft System Restore, because I could not visit any website.

The Nitro PDF Reader and the FoxIt Readers are much better than this. Therefore, if you want to read PDFs without any freezes or crashes, then consider downloading either Nitro or FoxIt.

I've had crashes while scrolling through PDFs and even while trying to open PDF files. It happened so often I had to uninstall and go back to version 9.Summary
In my opinion Adobe should be embarrassed by this version. It has far worse stability than version 6 had and that's saying something!
Stick with version 8 or 9 until Adobe fix this thing! -

Program is OK, if you are into sadism

57% freezes (as above). Everything slows or will not work at all. Program was so bad I had to uninstall it and go find Adobe 8, which works just fine.
Have no idea what these people were thinking. Did they let ANYONE who did not work at Adobe try this before they released it?Summary
Discard this POS and go get release 8 (or something else).
