Publisher's description of Actual Spy
This program allows you to monitor computer activity. Actual Spy includes a keylogger, screen capture, program log and clipboard monitor. It can control all user actions and allows you to monitor system events. The program generates a report in text and HTML, and can send it to a specified e-mail address. It works in standard and hidden modes, is password protected and is undetectable by anti-virus software.
Version 3 is compatible with Windows Vista. Now it is possible to set the interval of making screenshots in seconds.

- Version reviewed: Actual Spy 3
This system spy is accurate, efficient, stays hidden, and maintains helpful logs, but fails to log all Internet activity. Actual Spy's multitabbed interface appears cluttered at first, but testers quickly adjusted to finding needed information. The Help file is sparse, but most functions are easily implemented.
Actual Spy stores keystrokes, screenshots, applications started, clipboard data, printer uses, and files opened. It offers a seldom-used visible mode, and the more common hidden mode. In the latter, the program disappears from both the application and process lists. Keystrokes are accurately recorded, with logs displaying the application path, window caption, and time for each keystroke. However, mouse movements are not recorded, and the utility can not display where some Web form information was entered. The Internet Activity function tracks only Internet Explorer use. Though other browsers are listed in the Applications started tab, their activity is only tracked when URLs are typed. Sending reports by e-mail, local network, or FTP is easily set and includes helpful test send buttons.
Though the program lists a 40 minute monitoring time limit, our testers found the Create Report button is missing in the demo. Actual Spy is a solid system keylogger that is easily operated by any level user. However, it takes a hit by not covering other popular Web browsers as well as it does Internet Explorer.
