Publisher's description
From Antanas Zdramys :Use it to manage phone numbers and addresses, or as a small database for references, notes, or recipes, complete with rich-text format support (can hold pictures and other objects). The program can autodial phone numbers, auto-detect and remember phone numbers, and launch your e-mail program or Web browser directly. It indexes filter-on-enter, lets you define colors and fonts, and remembers last modification date for each card.

Version: AZZ Cardfile 3.2
"Great for making and managing lists."
Pros: Great for making and managing lists.
Mailing addresses; Order history; Vendor lists and product lines they carry; Computer: Record of computer changes, errors, registry changes, software installed and uninstalled, performance test results and date, web sites etc.;
Recipes.
Cons: SBC Antivirus real time scanner (by Computer Associates) causes AZZ Cardfile to lock up when saving large AZZ files.
Adding images creates large slow files.

Version: AZZ Cardfile 3.2
"exactly what you really really need"
Pros: I used AZZ cardfiles for very many years.
I just like the phylosophy of the program: unlike many other programs (specially from MS!) it does just what you *really* need.
1. It doesn't try to "teach" you how to record information. You are free to set your info as you like.
2. it's incredibly easy to use.
3. incredibly fast, even with very large directories
4. not invasive (doesn't interact with the operating system)
5. does not require 2000 mouse clicks to do anything
6. very stable
Cons: 1. it is impossible to print a booklet version of your files. IMHO, this is the weakest point of the program. I use my AZZ files as my master address book. So, I need to switch on the computer every time I need a number. I would like to find a program able to print a little (A6 or A7) version of my files that I can bind and keep in my pocket.
2. some little bugs:
a) sometime it appears to me that it changed the password. I discussed it with the developer and they did not trust me, but I'm 100% sure that at least on my laptop it happened. This seems to be related to a wrong password typed several times. When you reopen the same file, it may happen that the new password is the former wrong one... Quite strange, I know, but it happened to me at least 5 times (in about 5 years, I have to say).
b) If you importa MS windows cardfile file, it print the cards as blanks (there is a pretty unpractical workaround for this problem described in the tutorials).
3) it is not straightforward to keep 2 files opened at the same time
4) when you have a file password protected and you type the wrong password it requires the right one typed 3 times. This is good but it is not clear in the instructions and you can get confused the first times it happens.
5) the authors claim the password protection is not very good. This prevented me to use AZZ cardfile to store my passwords and other sensitive information on the computer.
