"Awful, Annoying Spam"

Nothing good to say about this software.
Cons
Spams every page with 'Created by ABCLIT and the url'. As someone else mentioned, on an epub file the message appears in the middle of paragraphs and is SO obnoxious.
Summary
Calibre is the way better bet for conversion software. Free and NO SPAM!

It can be useful for a very small, basic program that allows you to covert lit files into a range of other formates.
Cons
1. Spam. As another member mentioned it has spam on the top and bottom of every single page! It is the most annoying thing in the world to see.
Summary
Okay the fix for the Humpty.exe missing file is fairly easy. You have a shortcut (you know the thing you double click to get it to work?). Well right click that, click properties. Now in that window click Shortcut, go to advanced button bottom right. Once open click run as admin. Click ok and apply. Now go to the Compatibility tab (usually next to shortcut tab) click "Run this program in compatibility mode for: windows XP(Service pack 3)" it really does not matter about the service pack but XP helps. Now hit apply and then OK. You shouldn't find it effecting you again :)

Does as it promises, which is to convert lit files to something else.
Cons
What it doesn't tell you is it adds the lines:
CONVERTED BY ABC AMBER LIT CONVERTER
<WEBSITE URL HERE>
on every single page.
It's understandable that they would want to include a 'converted by' somewhere in the document, but forcing it into every single page is incredibly obnoxious and is pretty much like spam.
It is extremely jarring and distracting if you should happen to be reading the document on a non-standard screen such as a Kindle, as it makes the CONVERTED BY spam appear suddenly in the middle of a paragraph in mid-page.Summary
As said, it does the job, but you pay an extremely high price for it by having the CONVERTED BY spam plastered on every single page.
I am using Calibre (http://calibre-ebook.com/) instead, which is free, organizes and converts your ebooks and documents to and from different formats, AND doesn't feel the need to ruin your documents in this manner. -

Doesn't work. I have several CNET Download Alerts and most of them I've already downloaded. A couple I thought didn't download when I got the Alert & downloaded again. Skype updated and quit working. The upgrade is BAD. I un-installed, and re-installed several times, and Skype always shut down when I tried to use it. The next morning I downloaded an older version and it works fine. Some times the upgrade really screws things up.
AND. I KEEP GETTING ALERTS I'VE ALREADY DOWNLOADED (I CHECKED AND THEY ARE DOWNLOADED. ONE THAT KEEPS COMING IS THE TORRENT UPGRADE. CAN YOU STOP THESE REPEAT ALERTS? IT'S VERY ANNOYING AND I HAVE TO KEEP CHECKING EVERY ONE TO MAKE SURE IT IS A NEW ALERT AND NOT A REPEAT. THANKS -

Quick and dirty conversion. I use it to get .lit files onto my Kindle. It does what it says it will do with frills and the bloat that some other programs have. That being said, it does feel a bit dated even though it worked on my Windows 7 64-bit machine without a hitch. All in all a great program that does the job better than anything else out there.

Cons
Puts a VERY annoying "Created by" message on each page. This really sucks if you're using it on an Ereader.
Summary
Try something else. If I recommended something you'd think this was a shill review, so I won't. Just get yourself something different.
