From Paragon Technologie:7tools Partition Manager 2009 offers an extended range of functions to make your data management easier. With its help you can deploy a new hard drive and copy your data and partitions; install and use multiple operation systems and share files between them; organize better data storage for multiuser computers; and recover your computer after a system crash and secure important data by moving it to a separate partition. The advantage of the product is an increased level of data protection. You will not lose your data during partitioning operations; a number of wizards can help even unexperienced users to perform most complicated partitioning operations; and all major file systems are supported.
Version 2009 is Windows Vista compatible and features new interface.

Version: 7tools Partition Manager 2009
Pros: No data destroyed (so far, anyway) and handles Linux ext partions, very quick formatting
Cons: Can't tell how long the demo will work
Summary: The first time I started the demo, it appeared to be non-functional, with the menus grayed-out. But the next time and every time thereafter, the program has been working, just fine. I'm using it on an old IBM laptop running Windows 98SE, with an ex... read more >>

Version: 7tools Partition Manager 2009
"Excellent program, but ONLY A DEMO - no functionality"
Pros: If you have the change, 7tools, the latest from Paragon, may be the pick of the litter. It requires a reboot after installation, as do the Ranish and Cute partition managers. But it resizes partitions simply and formats the new partition with NTFS.
Cons: Great, intuitive, but not free. "Apply changes" is non-functional until you buy the program.
Summary: I like it; I just don't have $30 to spend.
