Well, if you're VERY inexperienced with computers, this is OK.

If you actually use your computer, one of the first things you should do is customize your own start menu. Please make me happy and do it yourself, it's very easy: <p> <p>C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu <p> <p>Alternatively, rearrange your personal start menu (mine of course is bwatters): <p> <p>C:\Documents and Settings\bwatters\Start Menu <p> <p>From here you can do whatever you want to your start menu quickly! It's so simple, why would you ever use a program that couldn't possibly customize it as well as you can yourself?

Its free quick and easy.It's probably that I have "Ccleaner" on my system.I did a Ccleaner clean up,then ran "start menu cleaner" and it found nothing.So unless you don't have any form of registry/file cleaner etc, then use this tool.

This update is far worse than the original programme which worked without any problems. This programme does not do the job. It leaves 'loose' shortcuts and empty folders in the Start tree.

Doesn't catch all invalid links which is the main purpose of the program. Program i made myself does a better job but not allowed to tell according to cnet policies. Try it, may work for you but not for me.

I just reformatted my second drive, and was left with a ton of dead shortcuts to stuff on the drive. Start Menu Cleaner got rid of almost all of them easily. All i had to do was click yes. It was so much faster than doing it manually. Great program. My only complaint is that it doesnt seem to do shortcuts in the all users folder, and theres no way to enable it. Also, the lack of installer is kind of a bummer too, but its free and it works, so i give it a good review.
