Works well, integrated with NewsbinPro
MyLadyKate- Pros
- Everything. Simple interface, works well. I've been using it for years then had to reinstall after a system restore. I wouldn't be without it
- Cons
- None really
- Summary
- If you download from newsgroups this is a must.
Invaluable utility for all Usenet users; up & down.
grainerD- Pros
- Easy to use with default setup. If it's needed it works!
- Cons
- Interface a little too busy and looks intimidating.
- Summary
- A "must have" for your Usenet toolbox. Saves tons of time by not having to ask for or to provide resends.
A must have if you download from Newsgroups
dbpcfl- Pros
- Fast & Simple to use
- Cons
- None, none!

- Summary
- It Works, enough said
Simply a Must Have
kenkarworks- Pros
- If you are going to do rar type files you will need this to check the download to see if everything is intact and functional. Works really well with few problems.
- Cons
- There my be some but I'm not sure what they would be.
- Summary
- Overall a good program that just does what you need it to do.
It does the job quickly; it is a bit ungainly to use.
DougJH- Pros
- I works correctly to rebuild fragmented rar binaries using par files.
- Cons
- It needs some refinements: It would be useful to be able to filter out extraneous files to make searching a directory faster. Enabling the user to select his own default view, say "details", would smooth the operation considerably.
- Summary
- I use it, but wish I had more control over the defaults.
exellant,just installed
moguls16- Pros

- Cons
- not found any yet
- Summary
- have to work it more and experience
This is Sweet
kimnkowtown- Pros
- Worked first time I tried it with a lot of other apps open full steam.
- Cons
- Even learning about the need for this utility is a bit of a journey and it can be confusing for the novice to use.
- Summary
- There are, however, many good tutorials online which you can access with a few simple clicks. Just search "QuickPar" and start with default settiings and you should do well. Creates a nice set of PAR2 files that can be used to repair and or open .RAR file pieces you can find online at sites like UseNet. (That site is limited by it's ability to handle smaller files, so people break them up into smaller pieces with programs like WinRAR.) If you and your friends share large files or you want to participate in UseNet ( they offer a free trial that is worth checking into ) you need this program. It's "freeware" for all intents and purposes so it's worthy of this site.
