It does the job well.
tutaref- Pros
- It's as systematic as you are willing to be. It works. It's portable via USB or similar, to any Windows computer.
- Cons
- Interface old-school and clunky
- Summary
Great Utility
cherpurple- Pros
- Highly recommend. Flexible and secure.
- Cons
- The interface is kinda clunky. This is not very important.
- Summary
- I keep all my passwords here, as well as PINs for my debit cards. It is very flexible and I can use it to hold widely disparate info such as the code to the gate, my blood donor ID, the cat's chip ID, serial number for the TV, clothing sizes, and on and on and on. Perhaps the greatest thing is that you can put a copy of it on a flash drive, and carry all your passwords & PINs around with you. To use it, just plug the flash into any computer, and access PINS directly on the flash. When you are done, remove the flash drive and nothing is left on the computer you just used.
Security in Storing and Using Passwords or Information
OLDownloder- Pros
- Ultimate ease of use after setup and learning period, contains a character map, generates passwords and offers many helpful settings. The hot key commands do not past to the clipboard.
- Cons
- The hot key commands fail to paste these seven ~ % ^ ( ) + { special characters. Shortening the password for each one used. So simply never use any of the seven to form your passwords. (not a serious issue)
- Summary
- Open PINs with your password and highlight the record file of the web site you wish to enter. After which only two or three key strokes are needed to reach the site and complete the login. If needed you can setup a second record for that site, one from which you can quickly and securely supply information like routing & account numbers. Also you can use the character map to securely paste information you have on the notepad of each record. Using the hot key commands and character map, PINs can be securely used from a USB drive on other PC's.
