Though its lack of security is an issue, Password Generator produces multiple random passwords and then some. The tabbed interface is easy to use, though it has a typo and is unremarkable to say the least. You can determine whether to include numbers, uppercase or lowercase characters, special symbols, and character length. A pretty cool feature we found is the file generator for whipping up large batches of passwords. We're able to create a file that lists numerous passwords in only a few clicks. You also can generate user IDs based on your first and last name or any two names you like. What's more, we are able to generate random combinations of hexadecimal characters up to 8192 bits. Although we are pleased with the extras offered here, a save feature within the program and password protection would make this a more practical option for the security cognizant. Easy to operate and free, Password Generator is great for anyone needing to produce IDs and numerous random passwords.

1. Single-file program. (No such installation) <p>2. Customizable password character type. <p>3. Ranges from uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. <p>4. File Generator option lets you create over 1 million 50-character passwords and save them into a single text file. (But don't really try 1 million...it will take some time...) <p>5. IT'S ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!!

User Name option is not much of a help. You'll find it inconvinient if you need to generate many user names at once.
