Developer’s Description

Encrypt and digitally sign your files, e-mails, and clipboard.

Open PGP Desktop Pro. Protect (encrypt) and/or digitally sign (authenticate) all your data such as e-mails and computer files. Based on a technology known as Public-Key Encryption, FileCrypt Desktop Pro is compatible with the OpenPGP standard. Although FileCrypt Desktop Pro is high security cryptographic software, it has been designed with an easy-to-use interface.

Now with the Outlook plug-in, you can encrypt and sign your e-mails directly in Microsoft Outlook. SDA Option allows you to create a Self-Decrypting Archive. Embedded files are encrypted using a password. By executing this application and by entering the right password, you can restore embedded files and directories. This option is useful if you want to send an encrypted file to somebody who does not own FileCrypt Desktop. Version 1.7.4 adds language selection.

For encryption, it's a decent GUI

Pros
Well, It is better than PGP Desktop (though it is missing some features (WDE).
Cons
Personally, I would wait until 2.x for this. Seems to be a work in progress. Plus they seem to be determining their commitment based on how this sells. I would recomment GNU Privacy Guard over this unless you need something other than CLI or open source GUI... Then go for FileCrypt over PGP Desktop.

Nice interface, intuitive way to work. <p>Shredder integrated and possibility to generate different key sizes also RSA v4 keys.

Pros
The GUI key management is nice, and I was able to keep GnuPG (open source/command line) installed and using the same key ring without issue. SDA option is a nice bonus and makes the product worth the little money they ask.
Cons
Documentation was weak. Could not find out how to create an RSA key with the trial and the documentation gave no hint of it. Key generation should be done in GnuPG, however. No WDE, but I never liked PGP Corps version anyway. TrueCrypt (TrueCrypt.org) for virtual disks or partitions is fine for me.
