Editors’ Review
The demo lacked some features we wanted to test, but Aether Antiboss still proved to effectively hide windows, programs, files, and folders. The program's compact interface is neatly arranged and easy to navigate. Three large icons are arranged on the left for executables, windows by title or class, and files and folders. Each option follows the same basic process: click the Add button and, for programs, files, and folders, use the file browser to locate items. For windows, select title or class and fill in the "Contains text" field. One click on the interface turns Antiboss protection on or off. If it's enabled, added files and folder immediately disappear.
For the programs or windows, there's an extra step. Select Show/Hide all windows (which includes designated programs and windows) from the File menu. When the program is minimized to the system tray, right click for the same option.
We would have liked to test the quicker hot-key option for instantly hiding items, but the demo disables the function. It's easy to password protect the program, but the demo removes the password on program close.
The available features and options worked well and were easy to implement. The 15-day trial is short, but since you start from scratch each time you launch Antiboss, you probably don't need any more time to test this easy-to-use program. Recommended for any user.
