• Seems OK, but...

  Pros

  It says it frees up RAM, but the next time you start up it has a lower percentage of RAM available. The next time it's even lower.

  Cons

  Hard to tell if it really works - computer performance doesn't change. Glary Utilities has a memory booster too, and many more features. I think this program isn't necessary if you have Glary.

  1. DRAMATIC improvement on older & low-RAM systems (even helps newer ones) 2. non-intrusive, works in background on auto-pilot 3. POLITE - does not interrupt things at a bad time 4. no conflicts, no bugs 5. perfect for BOTH "dummies" AND uber-geeks

  Absolutely ZERO cons! It's not been updated since Feb. 2007, because IT HAS NO BUGS & there's simply no way to improve on it. Adding "features" would only mess it up. How many companies know when to stop & leave well enough alone? Microsoft? LOL!

  Summary

  I have used this since 2003. I have installed it on over 100 of my customers' computers (each of them purchased a license). It does an outstanding job of managing memory & freeing up memory that Windows does not release when programs are closed. Typically a "Quick Boost" operation , (which can either be done manually by the user, by clicking the system tray icon, OR done automatically by the program when available physical memory falls to a threshhold value, say 10% free), will bump available memory up from 10% to 30-40% or more. The program is non-intrusive, works on auto-pilot in the background, AND it is POLITE -- it is SENSITIVE TO THE USER'S ACTIVITY (so it will not perform a boost operation until the user is inactive for 15-20 seconds), so it will not interrupt the system at a bad time. It has never conflicted with any other software. It is one of the few Windows programs I have EVER seen that unobtrusively does it's job, performing a very useful function, year after year, with no problems whatsoever. It makes an enormous, dramatic difference in system performance on older systems or those with too little physical memory installed (e.g. Windows XP systems with 256 to 1024MB RAM), far less expensively than adding actual memory. But I also use it on systems which have LOTS of installed RAM (e.g., XP with 2GB to 4GB installed), and it even helps them a lot. It is perfect for complete computer "dummies", but also for uber-geeks (it can be customized & tweaked in innumerable ways, if user is so inclined). I cannot understand why somebody here apparently gave this program a low rating - I suspect they either did so mistakenly, or as intentional sabotage. This program deserves OVER 5 STARS!!! The only conceivable "Con" is that you have to pay for it - but that's not really a con in this case. I am happy to pay for those rare programs that is WELL worth the cost, to reward the developer and encourage them to do more like this.
