• Shady company, despite a good product

  Pros

  Product does what it says...it syncs your Outlook calendar with your Google calendar.

  Cons

  The 4Team company itself. I purchased the software and it worked great. Then, a year and a half later, my company upgraded us to new computers. I looked up on the Sync website to find out how to move it to my new computer. It gives instructions on how to deactivate it from one computer then add it to another. When you try to deactivate it you get an error message and a request to contact 4Team. I did that and here is what their sales guy, Randy told me: "I am sorry , butyour subscription for free support and software updates has expired on 9/25/2016. A license re- activation is considered to be a support case, where active subscription is needed. License upgrade, which extends your subscription for one more year costs $24.98 per license and allows you to use the latest version, which has major improvements on software performance. Would you like me to send you a quote?"

  Summary

  That is so convenient isn't it? Their deactivation option within the program you purchased from them doesn't work so they can force you to contact support where they tell you your service agreement has run out and you need to purchase an upgrade. But hey...it has major improvements! The one star I gave is because the product is actually good. But the service is awful and the company clearly has shady business practices. If you have issues you will end up being out whatever money you spent. I recommend staying far away from any of their products. There are other options to sync the two nowadays.

  Nothing. After a while it starts creating duplicates.

  I bought two licenses. After a year Sync2 started creating lots of duplicates, so I uninstalled it. Then I tried to re-install it, but the activation did not work. I contacted 4Team support and they told me I had to buy a new license, because paid support was expired. I explained I wanted only the old version of Sync2 I paid the license for, and 4Team refused it. Be aware: either you keep paying yearly or yur software will work only for a year.

• Poor customer service and deceptive marketing practices

  The software works. It does what it advertises.

  My problem is their confusing and even deceptive marketing ploy via the PC notification. I had the software for over two years now. I upgraded the first two licenses before the one-year technical support and free upgrade expired. Of course, this extended tech support and upgrade for another year. A few weeks after the second year expired, I got a PC notification that there was a new free upgrade. I clicked on it and downloaded the upgrade only to get a message that since my one-year free upgrade expired, I would have to purchase another upgrade..I didn't want to upgrade since my previous versions worked fine. Plus, there was really no compelling reason to upgrade. So I called tech support because I couldn't get my previous version going, even after I uninstalled and reinstalled it. The last I had to call (before the support expired and after I upgraded to Windows 10), the tech guy had to connect to my PC to get it going. Now that support has expired, it has become useless.

  Summary

  I like the software but if I have to call (or buy a license if the one year free support is over) every time I need to reinstall, then I am not willing to spend any more money on it. I'll just have to find another alternative.

  Summary

  I read many different reviews and decided to go for it. I also bought Duplicate Killer. I spent (wasted) many, many hours trying to get it to work without much success. My main use of Outlook is as a calendar to record bookings in two Church Community Centres so it is useful to keep the PC and Laptop synchronised. 4Team support did little to help although they took control of my computers to solve the problem. In all the time I had it (about a year) it worked for only a few weeks. Duplicate Killer did nothing. I finally I uninstalled the programmes and have put everything on the main PC and relied on that. When the time came for renewal, I told them that it had never worked and that I had uninstalled it. They showed no interest or concern at all and were obviously satisfied that they had got some money out of me. I would say "Avoid"!

• Excellent product - effortless syncing.

  An essential accessory for Outlook users wanting to sync Diary and Calendar to Google and to iPhone (via Google). Very easy to install and to use. Excellent customer service that will go the extra mile to sort out problems.

  Cons

  None, if you accept the fact that, to get the best out of this software in the long-term, you should not regard it as a one-time purchase. You need to renew intermittently by purchasing an upgrade. Say once every two to three years. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

  Summary

  Win7 on PC - syncing to Android tablet and iPhone. I love this product and I don't mind paying something for it. The deal is you pay full-price once, and receive free upgrades and customer support for 12 months. After that, the product keeps working fine, but you won't get the support package. Once you pay the upgrade cost (50% discount for existing customers) the support package kicks in again. What I do as the 12 month anniversary approaches, is to make sure the product is up-tp-date and there are no issues, then run with it without support for c. another year or more before purchasing the upgrade. That is the equivalent of a subscription costing c. £7 (pounds) a year. I wish they would introduce a subscription model to save me that bother.

  None whatsoever.

  Cons

  Customer service was impossible to understand and no help whatsoever. After several hours of installing and uninstalling and trying to synch to remote hard drives and either computers. I quit. I'm so disgusted. After doing all my own service to the computers for 26 years, I quit.

  Summary

  Grasp a pair of knitting needles, at the back end like you would hold a fork, one in each hand and rest the pointy ends lightly at that place between the top of your cheek where it meets your eyes, plant your feet squarely on the floor and take a giant deep breath and with a great yell, thrust the needles through your eyeballs and on into the back of your brain. Or, for a similar experience, buy Sync2.

  I have been using Sync2 for 2 weeks and I am really impressed. Syncs better than the previous software that I was using. I highly recommend it for everyone who needs their data to be easily synced on multiple devices. Thank you 4Team.

  Pros

  As a personal user I have enjoyed using your Sync2 product for the trial period. Having been a user of Google Calendar Sync, this has been a welcome alternative since I will no longer be able to use the Google option soon. Now I have the full version on Sync2 and it works perfectly, the guys from support team helped me to set up. Recommend it to everyone with the same needs as me.

  Pros

  Very useful , as it saves a lot of time. App greatly facilitates the centralization of my team. Synchronizing emails, tasks and contacts just in a couple of minutes. Totally recommended.
