Though it's supposed to launch and terminate a program automatically, TimerRecord is a disappointment from the get-go. A simple executable file launches an overly simple interface with fields for start, end, and current time. The settings are pretty limited. You can choose Internet Explorer or Other and manually enter the path of an application to launch, or check a check box for Weekdays Only. The timer failed to work in multiple tests, and didn't open or close a program at the selected times. Start Recording and Kill Recording buttons are supposed to instantly open and close a program, but in testing they only worked on Internet Explorer. Nothing happened when the Check Status button was pushed and there's no Help file to guide you in using this or any of this program's other faulty features. Even though it's freeware, there's nothing to recommend this flawed timer program.

Load a copy of Winamp and kill it an hour later.
This program created for a radio station radio fires up and kills a program at set times. Currently used to load a copy of winamp and then kill it an hour later, this records a program off air to a file. Obviously you can make it load a game or other programs at set times.
