This application terminates running processes, though it is effective only for users experienced enough to identify process names. KillNamedProcess has no interface as it is a DOS application. Users immediately terminate running processes by invoking KillnamedProcess in a command window or as part of a batch file. You are required to know the exact name of the running process you wish to terminate. This is usually, but not always, the name of the file used to start the running process. We found KillNamedProcess effectively and immediately closed all tested processes. This freeware would be an excellent addition to any users' toolbox.
I tried this program to schedule killing a process on my machine. It wouldn't kill the process. I downloaded PrcView and it's included command line utility, pv.exe, did the job with no trouble.
Great if you can't manipulate Task Manager.

Pros
Decreses repetitive keystrokes post boot. Novices should proceed with caution but all is recoverable.
Stop a named process from a command line.Simple application to kill a named process, for example if you want to kill notepad or calc you can run killnamed.exe--notepad.exe or killnamed.exe--calc.exe. You can also kill WoW (World of Warcraft) when it hangs on the system.
