I thought it was good, but I didn't know it was a scam.
BALSCARLET- Pros
- Seemed to help my RAM. I currently have only 2GIGS that my PC came with, so I am trying to help speed up my PC a little before I am able to get some more RAM(hopefully soon). My MBAM just told me there was a Trojan on(?) it, so uninstalled it.
- Cons
- It didn't seem to have any, but then again I didn't know it was a scam. Been using it since Aug. '10, and didn't have any problems with it that I know of. But again, thanks for telling me it's a scam. Won't be using it anymore!
- Summary
- Definitely don't want any Trojans or viruses on my PC. I run scans every day, and try to keep my PC as clean as possible. But, I do recommend to any CNET users out there, if you don't have it already, go get Malware Bytes Anti-Malware PRO. It is definitely worth the investment. I believe it has paid for itself several times over(including this Trojan it found), since I got it last July(just before I got this PC). It is a great product, and I don't think you would be disappointed! P.S. Was going to reinstall it, but I guess not now! Thanks for letting me know it's a scam! I DEFINITELY would not uninstall and not reinstall MBAM. Excuse me if I was getting off the subject there in my summary, but I would recommend MBAM to any PC user. It is great, and believe you me(although I'm just someone behind some words here, and you don't know me from Adam OR Eve), I would recommend MBAM to any PC user, especially a new one. I'm still low-tech, as I call myself, since I've had my own PC for only about a year & a half. Computer classes came after my time in elementary, intermediate, & high school, so I don't have the knowledge some of these kids do. But, I do enjoy my PC, and am thankful for a lot of these good programs that help me that are out there, especially the ones I can get for free. Thanks for letting me say my piece, and much mahalos, and God Bless you all!
