• Screwed up my system

  It did update a few devices correctly.

  Installed it to resolve a handful of corrupt drivers. Not only did it not replace them but it offered to 'upgrade' others from an older version. When I went to apply the updates, my system was telling me from time to time (21 drivers were supposedly out of date) I was about to install an older driver than the one on there (?) ...and so it went on. Several of the downloaded drivers did not update and threw up errors. The last one I tried locked up the system so I had to force a restart. It also tried loading the wrong mouse drivers - completely wrong company for the gaming mouse I have.

  Summary

  This product really needs some work. Where these 'amazing' reviews have come from I wonder....its not amazing. I found it a rubbishy product. Perhaps worth $5 ...not $30.

  Free version will only list the drivers needed. You may download and update them manually or pay $29.95 for the pro-version to automatically install those drivers. The Support Techs are a 3rd party comapany whose only goal is to sell you their company's Support Contract.

  Summary

  DriverTurbo listed that I had 17 out of date drivers. I paid the $29.95 for the ability to automatically install each driver. What I wanted most was their Restore button that would Undo any update that caused problems. The first update I did went all right until I had to Restart the computer. Windows would not open, which meant I could not access that important DriverTurbo restore button. I used another computer to access their Support: I cannot access Windows to click the DriverTurbo restore button. The support guy expertly led me through several try this, try that sequences. His advice was that something dreadful was wrong and sold me a service contract for $510 to check my 3 computers. As they worked on my secondary computer, I was able to use F8 and the Windows Restore Point on my broken computer. This made me suspicious of the Tech Support. I could figure out this simple solution and they had not. I called them back and found out through questions that they were not the DriverTurbo company, but an affiliate. When I asked why DriverTurbo sill showed I needed 17 driver updates after they had 'fixed' my secondary computer, the Tech said, "Oh, no. You do not need that. Windows will find your updates." Obviously, other users have had good results; I feel as if I was misled through my entire experience. Their web site says the program is simple to use and free to download. Their support page does not tell you that you are being referred to another company who will want to sell you their services.
